Project Name:

Chevron Long Wharf Rehabilitation, Phases 4, 6

Location: Richmond, California

Owner: Chevron USA

Description of Project, Scope of Work Performed:

The Chevron Products Company USA contracted with Power Engineering to complete four of six phases of dock and building seismic retrofit. The first phase consisted of repairs to 375 concrete piles above and below water.  Phase two included concrete repairs to the pipe way support racks, pile driving and seismic upgrading to the wharf control building and laboratory.  The third job was to seismically upgrade the 3500-foot long concrete causeway to the wharf.  The final phase of the project was to complete the repair to the concrete pipe way racks, and repair several hundred feet of concrete beams under the main wharf.  All four phases of the work included many other small projects the Owner asked Power Engineering to complete during the course of the primary contract work.
