Project Name:
 San Pedro Creek Restoration

Location: San Pedro Creek

Owner: City of Pacifica

Description of Project, Scope of Work Performed:

This was a multi-phase Army Corps flood control and steelhead mitigation project that consisted of biotechnical and vegetation solutions to stream flow, flood control, and habitat enhancement.  Work included the excavation of over 60,000 CY of soil, the blending and installation of specially blended soil, installation of streambed spawning gravels, construction of stream bank logjams, wind throws, and other roughening measures, the construction of a wetland delta at the ocean discharge point, and the planting and maintenance of a variety of native materials.  This project was completed on the lower reach of the San Pedro Creek watershed, a known Red-Legged Frog habitat.
