Location: 1400 Radio Road, Redwood City, California 94065 Owner: South Bayside System Authority Description of Project, Scope of Work Performed: Replace a segment of an existing concrete outfall with a polyethylene pipe. The replacement section runs through bay wetland and will be replaced while the forcemain remains active. Work consists of constructing a 17’ x 235’ steel sheet pile cofferdam with bracing, in bay mud over the existing outfall. The cofferdam is constructed with 50 – 55 foot az18 sheets. Later phases of the project include excavation, removal of the existing RCP pipe, and installation of a new polyethylene pipe using divers, backfill and removal of the cofferdam.
